HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Troy, Grandma, and I picked up Mom and Dad in Stockbridge and headed to Appleton, Darboy or Kaukauna. (I'm not sure where we were)
Mom, make sure you throw the old ones away! (None of us dry or curl our hair at the cottage!)
Troy
Amanda and Tom hosted this festive birthday bash. Thank you!
Clarissa did not come empty handed. Instead, she brought her infamous Guinness Cake. Even though I am on a strict diet this week, I had to have a piece.
Andy fueled up for his upcoming bike ride
Tom wonders how long potatoes need to be cooked
Amanda takes a trip down memory lane as she glimpses an old scrapbook she has not seen in years
Tony shows Troy a picture and Troy dishes out a comeback

Mom, we hope you had a great Birthday. We look forward to spending another 50 more with you. That's right, you raised this crazy family, you're stuck with us.

Andy holding Bags--he was terrified!
Tonight I hosted a Home Interiors Party for my friend, Kelly. Thanks to all who attended and ordered! (Including Andy--the only male participant-- and D-Dub)
Mom and Aunt Aunn
Kelly did a very nice job. This was only the 3rd show she has done. She was a little nervous and it probably didn't help that she had a rowdy crowd!

Memorial Day Weekend

On Saturday morning, after a long night of working around the house, Troy and I headed to my parents cottage in the North Woods. It's about a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive.
Troy had control of the IPOD which made the drive go quickly
This is what we saw when we pulled in the driveway. I'm not even sure what Dad was doing up on the roof.
This is what was waiting down by the lake. Check out those guns. Flex Amanda. Flex. Flex!
Scenes like these are getting a little old Troy and Amanda
Troy catches and Tom releases, I thinkTony
Time to put the boat lift in. Andy apparently is the unlucky one.Tony, Dad, Tom, and Andy after putting the boat lift in the water. Well done boys. (Tom doesn't appear to be so lucky either)
Clarissa catches some sunAndy and I took the paddle boat for a spin. We went to the island in the middle of the lake and took a brief walk around it before heading back to the cottage.

Andy prepared a meal Friday night (pictured here with Tom....? sfs)

Ouch
Chunkys will always be a part of my life when necessary
On Sunday, Tony, Andy, Clarissa, Troy, and I took a little road trip to Little Bohemia. On the way, when stopping at a gas station, we saw a man who resembled our Grandpa. Troy asked the man for a picture. You be the judge (try to look past the extra large glasses and missing teeth)Little Bohemia Lodge

(History Lesson: The FBI surrounded the Little Bohemia Lodge on April 23, 1934, and opened fire after learning that Dillinger was inside. The nightmare had begun, as bullets ripped through the Lodge shattering windows and destroying everything in its path)

The bullet holes in the windows have been preserved and are being showcased in this picture by Clarissa and Troy
Bullet holes in the walls inside the lodge
An outhouse that John Dillinger perhaps used. It was nasty--Tony was smart to not sit on the seat.
Andy suspects that this is where Baby Face Nelson stayedIt was a lot of fun and was worth the 2 hour drive each way. There was a slight scare on the way home, however, when lightning struck right behind us. It happened a few minutes before this picture was taken
Troy had fishing fever
Andy and Tony did as well
Wow, Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Troy caught this fish)
Looks like Mom is living the good life (Clarissa, your foot was much better by far--you win)

Thanks for a great weekend everyone. I love you!

(Family, I have 500 pictures from this weekend if you'd like to look at them. Obviously I couldn't put them all on my blog!)
