I was pleasantly surprised when Anderson strolled into my classroom at 4:15 tonight (rather she stared at me through the window by the door until I let her in). This was perfect and we quickly decided to visit one of our special places. (We normally go here between 3:30 and 5:00 on weekdays)

Before being able to kick back and relax, Anderson had to do her chores
(Easy does it Anderson) For one of many relaxing backyard amenities, this doesn't look so relaxing.
This proved to be a little more comfortable
It was nearing dinner time....which grill should we use? (wt.....?)What a beautiful day. I think it says 55 degrees. It's hard to tell through the yellowing plastic.I was not thrilled about having my picture taken, but Anderson insisted. I now feel like my favorite meditation area has been exploited.
What is that next to Anderson?Call me crazy, but this looks like a leftover from Halloween! No way, I can't imagine anyone having a rotted pumpkin on their front steps. Certainly not in the nice part of town. These types of things are more likely to be seen in the numbered streets. At 5:00, Katie and I headed back to school. I was there until 6:30 when I left to meet Andrew. We visited the "Queen Bee" for a while. (Tony's words)
After Grandma's, we headed to the tennis courts. Andy is seriously like a male version of Sharapova. He wiped the court with me. I was able, however, to brush up on my back hand. Thanks Andrew!

Tonight we (and I mean Troy) fired up the grill and made some burgers. This is a picture of me letting Kayla tamper with the switches on the gas grill. Nothing happened.
Check out Kayla's new kicks.
Tomorrow is "weigh in" for the biggest loser at school. I am going to do some massive working out tonight and tomorrow. I also have a lot of school work I NEED to get done--BEFORE MIDNIGHT. With all of this going on, I will still find time to call my friend Kelly. We are in the process of setting up a Home Interiors Party at my house. She is a consultant and I want to help her put some food on the table! She is awesome!!!! You should consider buying some candles from her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll keep you posted on the date.

I found out my camera battery was depleted today when I really wanted to snap some shots. So, here goes.
This is what I did with my day off.

*Ran some errands with Mom
*Stopped at Grandma's (she was in her exercise class)
*Went to breakfast with Mom
*Talked on the phone with Mosher 20 times in 10 minutes (it was a nightmare)
*Went out to lunch with my friends and just had water (because I just ate with my mom)
*I made a new friend, Julie's mom
*I Had my hair done (it was not with my regular person--I was so scared)
*Went grocery shopping with Troy
*Carried in our plants and Bagwell from outside because of the temperature
*Soaked in an episode of Law and Order

Today I didn't do too much. I was at school working for a few hours earlier in the day. I read a book I am going to be reading with my students in English class, watched "A Night at the Museum," and basically just kicked it around the house. Many naps were had as well.

Unfortunately, I seem to have contracted a nasty face rash. Now, I'm not sure if it could be a reaction to the amoxicillin I started taking on Friday night for my "apparent" sinus infection or if it is from something entirely different. (I did use a sugar scrub on my face last night, but I've used it before, so I doubt that is the cause) All I know, is when I woke up this morning my face was extremely itchy and hot and I looked like a freak.

For those of you that know me well, you already know that I absolutely despise having profile shots taken because of the McNamara nose that I was "lucky" enough to become owner of at the ripe age of birth. (You better count your blessings Doughboy) Anyway, I decided to include a profile in here so you can see the pain I endured throughout the day.

This picture was taken before I went to school this morning. The picture doesn't even do justice to how bad it really was and is. I hope it goes away before Tuesday. (I am wearing makeup in this picture. I tried to cover it up, unsuccessfully as you can see)
Any ideas Aunt Ann?

I am still recuperating from my sinus infection. I did not sleep well last night but somehow managed to sleep until 11:30 this morning. That is pretty much unheard of for me.

Mom and Dad stopped over when in they were in Fond du Lac. Tony and Andy also stopped over on their way to the Brewer game. They had luxury box seats! We watched the Letterman episode with Brett Favre and mom made the cupcakes I signed up for to make for the Fondy "Cardnival." (Hey, I'm sick, I shouldn't be preparing food, right?)

Later in the evening I went to Cori's birthday Party. I picked up Zank and we stayed for about an hour.

Happy 25th Birthday Cori!!!!!!!!
Robyn and Rudy were there. Interestingly enough, Robyn failed to call me and tell me she was going. We'll see if I "forget" to call and eat lunch with her next week.
Let's see, we have Zank, Jenny, Sarah and Ziegler. (Andrew, it looks like your precious foosball teammate gets around. I knew Julie couldn't be trusted. I warned you, but you didn't listen)
I am pictured here with Henry. This man likes to talk sauce at lunch. (Henry recently showed me up by buying a crap load of tupperware from Robyn. It made my order look very insignificant. Damn you, Henry.) If you ever need bandaids, Sarah is the woman to go to.
I consider these two my "special" friends, Scott and my Katie. Scott appears upset in this picture because he would rather be at home whipping up a batch of brownies with H.D.

I went to a self advocacy conference in Madison today with some of my friends (fellow teachers) and one other lady. I laughed so hard all day long. My stomach is seriously sore. Days like this remind me that I really do love my job.

At the conference I ran into an old college friend of mine, Melinda. I wanted to snap a picture of her for blogging purposes, but I thought that may seem creepy. (After all, I haven't seen her for about 3 years) So I decided to post an older picture of her on her wedding day. She is really a honey, and one of the most genuine people I have met to this day.
Meet Alicia: You've seen her on my blog before. We are roommates at the High School. She hit her head approximately 3 or 4 times on various mechanisms in the vehicle throughout our travels.
Thankfully this flag did not fall from the sky and bop her on the head or suffocate her like she thought it would. I'm not joking, either.
Meet Paula (far left) She is a new face on my blog and one that will hopefully show up more often. She shared some interesting stories on this journey. Pictured with her at the Great Dane Pub is Alicia and Julie (a prominent face on kmcnamara.blogspot.com and one hell of a foosball player)
Zank (who needs no introduction) is pictured here with AKON
We call this woman the "Cell Whisperer." She can tame any cellular telephone. I thought she was sleeping against the inside of the SUV for about 10 minutes prior to this picture, but really she was conversing.
There was a discussion on this trip regarding the unspoken criteria to being hired as an LD teacher. One must be at least six feet tall, as you can see by the pictures of the gentle giants above. Paula is not an Amazon, obviously, because she is not an LD teacher.

My sore throat returned last night. After suffering my way through school today, I went to Convenient Care to get checked out by a doctor. It turns out that I have a major sinus infection. When I went to Walgreens to pick up my prescription, I was given a free water bottle full of goodies because of the whole insurance dispute. That was a nice surprise.
Afterwards, I headed back to school to watch a little of the JV softball game to support my friend Julie. Great coach! Then I did some lesson planning for my sub tomorrow.

This is not a great picture, but it was the best I could do under the circumstances. This is Ziegler (left) walking back to coach third after checking on one of her girls who was hit in the head with a softball. (I'm making it sound worse than it was) When the rain started, I bailed. Was contemplating stopping at the track meet, but it really started raining.
(It's pretty clear where softball rates at this school, considering there aren't any bleachers by the field. Nice)

There was a celebration for Clarissa Well's-McNamara and Jake Weiss, because within a one week period they both turn/ed the big 2.9.

Mom took over driving the Old's in Sherwood so I could thoughtfully fill out Jake's birthday card. I wanted to think of the perfect thing to write. Afterall, I have a lot to live up to, being Jake's favorite cousin by marriage, and all. (Grandma Mac was in the passenger seat and Troy was next to me in the back seat eating cake)
Even though Tony looks as though he is sincerely listening to what Mom is talking about, he is really wishing he would have bought another case of Faygo for one dollar
Tom and Patrick get comfortable on the back porch
Up North talk? I really don't know
My beautiful Cousin Shelly, with her son Greyson
Greyson and Dad. (Clarissa, why don't you pop one of these out so Dad can become a Grandpa?)
Andy is eating a hot dog. It may be the one he asked Patrick to serve up for him
I hope this Wilson wrist band is given to me some day, in the form of a Claire-me-down
It's strange how they are blowing out their birthday candles from such a distance
Al and Aria
With my favorite "metal head" Petester
Clarissa and Pat (check out his blog for the latest updates)
Tom kisses Grandma's hair ever so gently (she appears uncomfortable with this)
?
Amanda thinks I am number one

Tony caresses Troy's shoulder, lovingly (I'm sorry, I don't know why I am writing these things)
Unlike the average human head, Tony's is made up of about 60% teeth
Jake and Andy
Amanda and mom talk shop
This picture of Troy was taken when everything was right in our world, prior to the centipede situation we encountered when getting home. Yuk, gross, sick.

(Well, I called Clarissa twice today with no success) Clarissa, I hope you had a fabulous birthday. The pictures below show what I did on your big day.

Kayla and I stopped at Katie's house for a few minutes
I tried to play through the window with one cool cat.......George Anderson
We made some beaded bracelets before......
taking Bags outside
Troy and I went for a drive before going to Georgetown to pick up laundry

Bailey....it was a pleasure talking with you today. Let's pick a date, ok? Remember, you need to seek some revenge on Troy for the incident below!
